About The Fashion Economist
The Fashion Economist is a platform where fashion meets global business, sustainability, and creative expression. Founded by Mo Fellows, it explores the deeper stories behind the clothes we wear and the forces that shape the industry at large.
With a background in global economic affairs, international trade, and sustainability, Mo approaches fashion as more than design, it is a dynamic system where creativity, commerce, culture, and environmental realities continuously intersect. The Fashion Economist was created to bridge these worlds, challenging the divide between artistry and the global forces that influence how fashion is made, consumed, and reimagined today.
Fashion is not only about style trends or runway shows; it is a $2.5 trillion global industry that shapes culture, identity, and economies. It reflects who we are and how we engage with society and the environment. The Fashion Economist examines this complexity through a lens that integrates trade policy, sustainability initiatives, emerging technologies, and shifting consumer behaviors, revealing how these forces reshape everything from supply chains to storytelling and innovation.
This platform serves as a resource and community for curious minds who want to understand the future of fashion, not just as consumers, but as thinkers, creators, and changemakers. It seeks to uncover how brands can enter markets strategically, innovate responsibly, and operate with greater intention to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.
